The Salcombe Crabfest was a fantastic success back in May, when thousands of visitors, flocked to Salcombe to eat, drink and be merry at the inaugural event held on Island Street.
Many met Mary Berry at her book signing event and then attended a relaxed interview with Mary and Jennie Bond, held here at Salcombe Dairy Ice Cream.
The event raised in excess of £10,000 and will be used to fund an all weather play surface, a new cooker, safety fencing and other essential maintenance for the Young Salcombe Centre. In addition, funds will go towards a defibrillator for the Fish Quay, the Fishermans Mission and Malborough junior football club.
