We are delighted that the Kingsbridge RFC Boys U15s won their match against the Jersey Reds on their recent tour. We are proud sponsors of the team and are so pleased to hear that they are all playing so well, keep up the good work boys.
A word from the team themselves…..
Kingsbridge RFC Boys U15s have just returned from Jersey after a very successful tour.
On the pitch, a nearly full-strength Kingsbridge squad took on a very strong, well-organised and evenly matched Jersey Reds Under 15s team. The spectators were treated to a fantastic match, with Kingsbridge putting in their best performance of the season.
In the last five minutes of the game Jersey found their attack and Kings were forced to defend but with Jersey unable to break through some tough defending, Kings emerged with an 8-3 win in one of the best matches they have played.
Off the pitch, the boys enjoyed a fun-packed couple of days, with loads of activities and everyone, players, parents and coaches, dressed in a Hawaiian theme at all times. The boys managed to fit in paintball, high-wire climbing, blow karting (beach buggies with sails!), mini-golf, beach rugby and bowling.
The team would like to say a big thank Jersey Reds for their amazing hospitality and are looking forward to hosting them in a return tour fixture at High House.
The tour wouldn’t have been possible without a huge fundraising effort by the team and the parents.
