Shopping for chocolate when you need to avoid certain ingredients can feel limiting. But nut-free and gluten-free chocolate should still be every bit as delicious as any other. At Salcombe Dairy, we make our own chocolate from bean to bar, with flavour and quality at the heart of every recipe. What we leave out matters, but so does everything we put in.

It begins with the cacao
Our chocolate starts with organic, fairly traded cacao sourced from Peru. We choose it for its quality and distinctive character, then transform it into chocolate in our Salcombe factory. Melanging, conching, tempering and moulding are all carried out by our own team. This hands-on approach helps us create the smooth texture and balanced flavour we want.

A simple approach to ingredients
Our chocolate is made without nuts, gluten, soya or palm oil, using 100% natural ingredients. Rather than relying on an overly long list of additions, we focus on good cacao and well-developed recipes. That means milk chocolate can be wonderfully creamy and dark chocolate can have real depth and character.

A thoughtful choice for gifting
Chocolate is such a lovely gift, but shopping for somebody with dietary requirements can make choosing more complicated. Our range includes bars, truffles and gifts, so there are options for birthdays, thank-you presents and celebrations. If you're buying for someone with an allergy, always check the individual product label and current allergen information before purchasing; a general description should never replace that check.

Made with care in Devon
You can see where our chocolate is made when you visit the factory shop on Island Street in Salcombe. Through the glass wall, our chocolatiers work on the process that turns cacao nibs into finished bars. We love sharing that craftsmanship with customers, whether they visit in person or discover us online.

Discover your favourite
Whether you enjoy a classic milk chocolate bar, rich dark chocolate or an indulgent truffle, there's no reason that avoiding nuts or gluten should mean missing out on a proper chocolate treat. Explore our Salcombe Dairy chocolate collection and discover the flavours for yourself.
