March has truly arrived in South Devon - the hedges are brimming with primroses, wild daffodils are blooming under the trees, and lambs are bleating in the fields. Here in Salcombe the spring visitors are beginning to brave the beaches and coastal path walks, and the locals are scurrying about getting boats on the water and sprucing up the shopfronts ready for spring.
At Salcombe Dairy, our chocolatiers are crafting Mother’s Day truffles and spinning chocolate Easter eggs by hand. Our ice cream makers have been dreaming up some new flavours ready for the spring and experimenting with new recipe ideas. A hive of activity, much like that going on in our beehive on the farm, where the bees are busy busy collecting nectar from primroses…
We have some delightful new Mother’s Day treats, both in store and online, inspired by Devon primroses. Our beautiful Easter egg collection has some charming new designs, drawn by our talented illustrator who was inspired by the hedgerow flora that Devon is famous for.
Now all we need is the sunshine!
