Salcombe has always been at the heart of our story. With its beautiful estuary, coastal walks and busy summer days, it's a place people return to year after year. Since 1979, we've been making Devon ice cream here, creating flavours that have become part of many families' holiday memories. Over time, our love of making good food has taken us in an exciting new direction too: chocolate.
Our love of ice cream
Ice cream is where it all began. We use quality milk and cream, carefully developed recipes and a great deal of imagination to make flavours that feel special. From traditional favourites to seasonal creations, we want every scoop to be worth looking forward to. Our ice cream is made without nuts, gluten, eggs or soya; anyone with allergies should check current product information.
The next chapter: bean-to-bar chocolate
Our chocolate factory on Island Street brings a different kind of craftsmanship to Salcombe. We start with organic, fairly traded Peruvian cacao and make our chocolate from scratch, carefully melanging, conching, tempering and moulding it. Visitors can watch the process through a glass wall in our factory shop, which is a wonderful way to understand just how much work goes into a finished bar.
Rooted in place, shared more widely
Our shops are places to enjoy a scoop, discover a favourite chocolate bar or pick up a gift to take home. We love being part of a visit to South Devon, but we're equally pleased that customers can enjoy our products beyond their holidays. Home delivery and selected retail partners help bring a taste of Salcombe to kitchens and freezers around the country.

Good ingredients, thoughtful sourcing and doing things properly have always guided us.
